Webinar Series

Participate in webinars (at no cost) presented by leading colleges and recognized professionals in the field. These FREE "live" webinars are also archived so you can go back and listen to them again or share them with your staff. You can also propose a future webinar topic about which you would like to receive more information.

Member Listserv

The NCCET Listserv is a great members-only tool for discussion topics of immediate interest to continuing education professionals.The Listserv allows you to communicate quickly and easy with your colleagues, despite distance, time, or other obstacles. Together, members can share their specific expertise, and pool their knowledge to strengthen the profession as a whole.

CatalystPublications

Receive Catalyst, an electronic publication for practitioners, providing the latest research and emerging trends. Published three times a year, it is filled with ideas to advance your programs.

Website

The NCCET website is a wonderful source of information for you. The website contains contact information for colleagues, volunteer leaders, and lists the upcoming events and activities. NCCET members and friends of the profession may post job opportunities for a fee and resumes for free through our career portal. The NCCET website also features a corporate partner area that provides a link to valuable services.

Access to the "Members Only" section of this website featuring upcoming event information, past publications, and important links to industry figures. The "Members Only" section also provides networking opportunities for members such as Member Notes, value-added members-only discounts, and the online membership directory.

Annual Conference

NCCET’s annual conference attracts hundreds of education leaders from around the nation. Each conference features numerous sessions highlighting emerging trends, hot new programs and best practices of interest to learning professionals. Network with other leaders and develop relationships for sharing resources and learning from one another. In addition, the exhibit area offers a great place to explore tools and resources to help you advance your program operations and delivery. Coffee breaks, refreshments and prize drawings make the exhibit area a fun and information rich environment.

NCCET members receive a substantial discount on the conference registration fee.

Recognition Programs

NCCET offers a variety of awards programs plus many other recognition programs. Some of the awards presented at the annual conference include:

  1. National Leadership: Inside the Field
    Any community college administrator, American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) staff or board member, NCCET member or leader who works in the area of community services, continuing education, workforce development, and/or distance learning and has been truly national in impact and significance is eligible (exclusive of NCCET president).  Example:  national literature research, model program, or other activity to include policy making and/or legislation that advances the status and visibility of community services, continuing education, and workforce development. 
  2. National Leadership: Outside the Field
    This award is for an individual who has contributed to the field of community services, continuing education, workforce development and/or distance learning as above and who is affiliated with another higher education segment, government, other educational organization, business and industry, mass media, or public organization.
  3. National Exemplary Service
    The purpose of NCCET’s Exemplary Program Award is to recognize outstanding programs that impact a college’s community and that are innovative, replicable, and sustainable.  More than one entry may be submitted by a college; however, a separate form must be completed for each entry.
  4. Regional Leadership
    Any community college administrator, board member, or faculty member within the designated region is eligible for this award except regional/functional directors during their term of office.   Also, persons at the state government level, other higher education segment, or business/industry may be included if they have provided special support to community services, continuing education, workforce development, and/or distance learning in the state or region.  The individual's contribution must have impacted or be known to a significant number of people and/or institutions in the area and this influence must have extended over a significant period (i.e., 2-5 years). 
  5. President's Leadership Award
    This is awarded to the NCCET president.  

Volunteer Opportunities

Get involved! Join the fun and challenge of NCCET by contributing to the various committees. Whether you have time to devote to committee work or simply have any idea you would like to share, NCCET needs your involvement! As a member of NCCET, you have the ability to volunteer on key committees and project groups and be able to serve on the Board of Directors. Volunteering for NCCET not only demonstrates your commitment to the profession and the association, but also is a way for you to enhance your networking connections.
