Behind the Walls - Our Forgotten Workforce

This must-see presentation will discuss the benefits and successes of working with a special population, those “Behind the Walls”. You will hear from NCCET Board members, Mr. Don Tracy [Vice President of NCCET, and Howard Drake [President of NCCET and Director of the Corporate College at Polk State College].   In addition, you will hear from Warden Jennifer Brown of the Lockhart Correctional Facility and a formerly incarcerated student, Misty Campbell regarding success stories.

  As a result of this session, you will be able to answer the following questions:

1. How can your college develop a partnership with the Department of Corrections?
2. How to design, develop and deploy training programs “Behind the Walls”.

How to support student reentry into the community.
