Joe Cassidy is Dean of Continuing Education and Assistant Vice President of Economic Development at College of DuPage one of the nation’s largest community colleges. He oversees Adult Education, Adult Enrichment, Homeland Security Training Institute, Business Solutions and Youth Academy programs with enrollments of 28,000 per year, serving a district of over 1 million community members. Cassidy is an ‘intrapreneur,’ leading agile and responsive program development through Continuing Education, and fostering economic development through the Business Development Center and Innovation DuPage, a 501(c)(3) business incubator/accelerator where he serves as President and Chair. In addition, Cassidy serves on five local and national boards dedicated to continuing education and workforce development. He is currently completing his Doctorate of Education from Benedictine University and is expected to graduate in 2020.

Sonia Watson is the Interim Assistant Dean for Adjunct Faculty Support at College of DuPage. She received her Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies from North Central College and is currently a Doctoral Candidate studying Organizational Development at Benedictine University. An educator for more than twenty years, Sonia has extensive experience as a training and development leader whose accomplishments demonstrate strategic leadership, efficient management, and effective decision-making. She also understands how to motivate, lead, develop meaningful relationships, and create synergistic environments. Sonia not only has a passion for helping students reach their academic, professional, and personal goals, she is also committed to fostering an environment that supports teaching and learning at the college. She leads efforts to ensure the success of College of DuPage students and faculty members, guiding the institution's mission of creating a lifelong learning environment for its diverse community. Sonia has considerable experience presenting at conferences across the nation and internationally.
